Listen Button

Press Listen. The DLD audio processor turns on and listens for sound from the accelerometer.

DLD Buttons

Volume Button

Press Volume. Volume level range is 1 to 29. (Default is 15.)
To select the desired volume:


• Press once to increase the sound by one step.

• Hold down the Volume button to increase DLD volume to the desired level.

Power Management

The DLD automatically turns off if a button is not pressed for 90 seconds.

Filters Button

Press the Filters button to select the desired precision filter setting:

SEr Service lines
Con Hydrants, valves, etc.
SUr Survey work (default)
OPn No filter settings
Gnd Ground listening all surfaces (asphalt, soil, etc.)

DLD Settings

Setting Frequency (Hz)
Open 100 - 1800
Ground 100 - 400
Service 250 - 800
Contact 300 - 1800
Survey 150 - 750

Leak Analysis

While listening, the LCD shows the Leak Analysis number (the detected leak sound level).

Pressing Listen again, resets  the Leak Analysis number.
